DNS or Pointing by Nameserver - and who to point blame to when it doesn't work

This isn't a gripe of serious moan but simply comment on my latest experiences with this website and the effort it took to actually appear on the internet linked to its domain name.
I am relatively experienced in domain name settings and DNS management but this episode left me more than a little frustrated.
Put simply the complications arrived when my Domain name was hosted by an ISP that was not Wix. No problem said Wix customer service person 1 - just follow my instructions and change Name serers to this Wix setting...... 24 hours later no link to website.
Aha said Wix customer service person 2 (after the auto bot message service said 'Yes I can see the issue and a chat will begin with real live person' - those are the wrong name servers - use these instead....... 24 hours later - Success! but only on PC not Ipad or Iphone .... not good as these days most website viewing is done through these devices...... 24 hours later things not improved.
So ... I contacted my Host ISP and asked them what they have done in the past to connect domain names to Wix websites. Their answer was 'Ignore the wix nameservers - reset to ours and rely on DNS A and CNAME records.
So... (again) ... I returned to Wix - very freindly customer service person 3 - explained the advive I was given by my ISP and I was guded once agian through the linking process used by Wix .... he checked a few things and HEY PRESTO ... 3 minutes later all working well.
So genuine thank yoy to Wix and my ISP (Qbic internet) and here we are ... and you are reading this blog :)
Next blog - on less dry subject soon.
